Relocation to New Offices
During the month of May, 2009, Our firm will be moving to a new facility located at 7950 NW 53rd St., Doral, Florida. The state of the art facility is situated in the heart of the new "Downtown Doral."

New Appointments
I recently accepted appointment to the positions of Chairman of the ABAR Quality Review Committee of the Institute of Business Appraisers.
In that capacity, I plan to continue advancing the interests of those practitioners engaged in business appraisal review.

Presenting as Part of Expert Valuation Panel
On May 30, 2009, Frank Rosillo will be presenting at the 2009 NACVA/IBA Joint National Consultants Conference in Boston, Massachusetts, on the topic "How to set up a simple but effective internal review process for your appraisal practice."
The presentation will be part of a national trends in valuations panel composed of three other nationally known business valuation experts.

2009 Seminar Teaching Schedule
I will be coteaching a four day workshop with Howard A. Lewis, ABAR, AVA.
Howard is the Executive Director of the Institute of Business Appraisers and the former National Program Manager of the Engineering and Valuation Programs at the Internal Revenue Service.
The four day workshop is entitled "Business Appraisal Review Accreditation Workshop" and will be offered by the Institute of Business Appraisers at the following locations:
Plantation, Florida February 9-12, 2009

This four day worshop teaches an innovative appraisal review and quality assurance procedure.
This will be of interest in situations where assuring the quality of a valuation opinion is an essential element of a transaction, such as:
- Financial reporting,- Fairness opinions,
- Tax matters involving income tax, gift and estate tax filings, and related regulatory audits,
- Litigation support services,- Court proceedings,
- Arbitration,
- Mediation,
- Mergers and Acquisitions,
- Any other situation where an independent opinion regarding the credibility of the work product of a business appraiser would be useful to third parties.

Authored: "Best Practices in Business Appraisal Review."
The Institute of Business Appraisers has adopted an Appraisal Review practice aid document authored by Frank Rosillo, CPA. The Institute plans to adopt these practices as a central part of its certification program leading to the ABAR credential (Accredited in Business Appraisal Review).
